10 Different Ways to Market Your Product

Without a product marketing and content strategy, you may feel your efforts haven’t paid off. Trust your product and explore our guide.

Ürün Pazarlaması için Kullanabileceğiniz 10 Farklı Yöntem

After long hours of work, you’ve finally decided to launch the product you’ve been building. It’s one of the most exciting moments for any product developer. After dozens of hours spent on software and server management, you hope your efforts will pay off.

But if you don’t have a product-focused digital marketing and content strategy, you may feel your efforts haven’t paid off. Don’t worry: trust your product and start working through the points we’ve prepared below to market it.

1. Target Audience Analysis

Research the audience who will use your product in detail. List all your product’s features and benefits and the problems it solves. Through this research, get to the point where you can answer the following questions:

  • Which of your audience’s problems does your product solve?
  • Why should they choose your product instead of product X?
  • What does your audience’s life cycle look like?
  • What is the product’s launch price?
  • How are you different from your competitors?
  • What challenges do you solve?

2. Run a Countdown

Share countdowns to when your product will be available, for example the last 10 days, the last 5 days and the last 3, 2, 1 days. Countdowns on social media will grab potential users’ attention and keep their excitement high.

3. Create a Landing Page

Whether you’re working on just one product or already have other live products, be sure to design an informative landing page. With a landing page, you can give a short overview of the product, run the countdown on the page and collect email addresses so you can notify interested people.

4. Communicate Around Benefits

Carefully list every benefit your product offers its audience and develop content around these benefits. For example, if your product saves prospects about 40% of their time, create social media content, blog posts, webinars and podcasts on that topic. Dig into the details of each benefit and turn them into different types of content. You can cover each benefit through:

  • Social media content
  • Infographics
  • Videos
  • Blog Posts
  • Lists
  • SlideShare presentations

5. Create an FAQ Page

Prepare in advance the questions prospects are likely to ask about the product and include them on the product page. You can also review questions asked about similar products on Google and other platforms and create content around them.

6. Build a Product Website

When the product is ready to announce, the landing page will give way to a product page or website. When preparing the product website, turn your product’s top 3 benefits for your audience into slogans and feature them in your banners or H3 headings.

7. Send a Bulk Email

It’s time to use the email addresses you collected with your landing page. Send a bulk email to your interested audience using the slogans and content you created for the product website.

8. Create a Knowledge Base and Help Content

Don’t forget to create how-to content about using the product, on a subdomain such as help.yourdomain.com or a subfolder such as yourdomain.com/help. When preparing this content, remember to use written documentation, screenshots and how-to videos.

9. Press Release and Press Kit

Prepare a press release introducing your product and send it to industry news sites and blogs. Also create a press kit page with the product press release and your logos for use, and publish it on your website.

10. Sales-Focused Presentation

Your product may sell not only through your website but also through email or one-on-one sales. So you can create a PDF catalog or brochure featuring the benefit-focused content and slogans you developed for the product.

Remember to monitor the 10 points above as you organize and carry them out, and repeat them when needed. Whichever point delivers the most value for you, keep at it and repeat it.
